If you have been following me for awhile, then you know I LOVE reading. Any spare chance I get, I read (you can see why that may be harder than it seems with Tate sneaking in these pics 😉 hah!) I love getting lost in a new book…especially a page-turner! Whenever I mention what I am reading on insta-stories, I receive countless responses from ya’ll about it- whether I’m liking the book, that you’ve maybe read that book as well, and your thoughts on the book. & I so appreciate that! I absolutely want to connect with each and every one of you. So it’s enjoyable when you reach out and we can connect on a funny hobby!
The Hypnotist’s Love Story Review:
I just wrapped up The Hypnotist’s Love Story. I think I have to start by saying that I admire Liane Moriarty and am a huge fan of her books (Big Little Lies, The Husband’s Secret, What Alice Forgot), so I had to add this one to my list! I will confess it is not my favorite out of the others I have read by her, but it was still enjoyable. A lot of you messaged me saying it was a slower read, but that honestly did not bother me. It’s definitely a different & unusual story, which I found interesting. It does start out slower, but I feel like we really get to know the characters that way. It was a light, easy, & satisfying read and I love Liane’s style of writing. I always love her characters and the different perspectives she gives.
The character development throughout the book is SO good and so interesting.. that definitely kept me on my toes, wanting to know what was happening! I don’t want to give the whole book away, but I also really loved that we got to see the views of both the antagonist and protagonist (ummm did any of you ladies feel sorry for Saskia at some points?!) It is a different type of love story, with just a hint of suspense that I thoroughly enjoyed. I definitely recommend this book if you’re looking for a quick, light read.
What I’m Reading Next:
I just picked up Behind Closed Doors and can. not. put. it. down. It’s definitely a thriller and already twisted. I have had a few of you warn me that it is a little dark, but we shall see! Have any of ya’ll read either of these books? If so, what did you think?!
Let me know in the comments here or on instagram + let’s chat! XOXO
I am curious about ‘behind Closed Doors’. I cannot wait to hear what you think of it.📚
