5 Must-Have Fall Accessories and How To Style Them
Square Toe Sandals
These trendy shoes are an amazing transition piece from summer to fall. The square toe is such a throwback to the 90s and I’m here for it (such a 90’s baby at heart). The pair I’m loving have a clear acrylic strap above the toe and a short block heel which is an added layer of chic but there are so many unique styles if you’re interested in rocking these. For something more simplistic, go for a deep camel or black leather in a flat heel.
On a casual day running errands, this shoes look so cute paired with distressed denim shorts, a black or white bodysuit and of course a chic pair of sunglasses. For something a little more dressed up, I love the way they complement a long flowy skirt and pretty balloon sleeve top.
Organza Scrunchies
Another 80’s/90’s throwback! Now, this one takes some confidence to rock but I promise it’s so much easier to pull off than you may think! My advice if you’re new (or bringing back scrunchies) is to start smaller and work your way up in size. The one’s I’ve been rocking lately are definitely statement hair accessories but I love to use them to dress up more simple looks.
Wrap one of these cuties around your wrist when you’re headed to school drop off and the gym or you can dress it up by using one in a high pony with a structured blouse on date night.
Combat Boots
Okay, for real, combat boots are so on trend this year but I truly think these are wardrobe staples any year. You may have seen Doc Martens making a major comeback and for good reason, a sturdy pair of boots make such a great option to make any look a little bit more edgy. Add personality to your pair with velveteen laces, studs, heels or no heels, etc.
One of my favorite ways to rock a pair of combat boots is to pair them with something light and feminine to keep the overall look balanced. Babydoll dresses, lace details, light wash jeans and pastel colors are my go-tos with combat boots.
Statement Headbands
You guys know how much I love a good hair accessory and so of course I had to include one of my current favorites, a statement headband, to the fall list. Whether you have short locks or long ones, I promise these are SO cute and simple to sport. I’d definitely opt for more luxe, opulent details on these for fall if you’re going to try the trend. Think pearls, velvet in deep jewel tones, you know the drill!
Chunky Gold Chain Necklaces
Last, but certainly not least, a chunky gold necklace. This is one of the most versatile, easy trends to start trying this fall. I’m definitely traditionally a more dainty jewelry kind of girl, but on special occasions and when I’m wanting to try something new, I love to add these more statement pieces of jewelry to my outfit. For something more simplistic, go for a little bit longer in length and a lighter chain. For something super on trend and youthful, you could definitely try a shorter length chain with a thick gold clasp. Love it!
If you try any of these accessories this fall, definitely tag me in your photos so that I can see how you styled them! Happy Fall, y’all!
