I’ve been all about finding really good basics to mix and match in my wardrobe as of late. I love finding really great pieces that go with a lot of different outfits. I picked up this denim shirt recently and LOVE it! It’s a little oversized, but also looks cute tucked in. I chose to style it very casual for this post. I love these casual outfits for my everyday attire while chasing around two littles 🙂

So…What Is Chambray?

When putting together this post, I ran into so many articles about how a lot of people don’t don’t know what chambray is exactly! There IS a difference between chambray and denim actually. The main difference would be in the way that they are woven. Denim is woven diagonally, while chambray is plainly woven, meaning that there’s more of a traditional criss-cross weaving happening. A chambray shirt is such a great classic everyday basic for all-seasons! They will often times come in different color or pattern options, too. While chambray shirts are great, classic pieces, denim shirts are also a fabulous option! They have been making a big comeback as of late and I am definitely a fan.

When Can You Wear Chambray

Both chambray and denim tops are really are great for all seasons as well. I love chambray and denim shirts for more casual occasions. They have a really relaxed vibe and I love that! Like I said, they’re great for all seasons. I think they’re so cute for a casual bbq, park date with the kids, or running errands! I also think you could totally dress up this look with a pretty heel + nice belt… so chic!

I love chambray with a nice leather pant or leather leggings in the fall and winter. I think it makes a casual outfit just a little more put together/chic!

I feel like this is a more popular way to pair a denim or chambray top! It’s simple & easy, PLUS looks put together without having to put in much effort.

I personally LOVE a good denim on denim outfit! Like I styled in this post, I think it’s such a simple and cute outfit. You could easily swap out the sneakers and pair this look with a bootie, heel, etc. You can dress this look up or down!

I think it would be so cute to pair this top with a simple white tee and pair of leggings. Just an easy throw on outfit for days when you don’t want to put in much thought!
