We made it back home and I’m so happy to be back to work, our routine, and our cozy home!
Honestly, we truly had *THE* best time with our families while in Utah! We spent the majority of time with Sid’s family this time- his parents are angels and we always have the best time with them. Also, we got to see Sid’s sister and her family almost every day while there and let me tell you, Tru was in cousin heaven! It was so awesome to see him playing with them and the amazing bond they all have, regardless of the fact that they don’t get to see each other as often as we would like.
Thank heavens for the wonderful technology we have these days (facetime!)
He is able to keep in touch daily with family. It certainly isn’t the same, but hey, we will take it! I pray that one day we’ll be able to see our families a lot more because quite honestly, that has been weighing on me a whole lot lately (I am such a family gal…family is my everything!).
We were also able to catch up with some of our best friends throughout the week and that was super great, too. Later on in the week, we met my family to kick off some pre-wedding celebrations! We had a ton of fun just hanging out and gearing up for the “big day”. Cassidy & Tanner’s wedding was seriously GORGEOUS! It was the most perfect day celebrating those two and their amazing love and I am so happy to add another brother to the family! We danced our butts off all night~ Sid and I LOVE weddings and dancing and just letting loose. He is the besttttt date always and I’m thankful he’s my forever wedding date!
On our last Saturday before heading to the airport, we met up with both of our families for a final lunch and that was just my verrry favorite. I love that both of our families love us so much + love spending time with each other, as well. It means the world to me whenever I get to see BOTH sets of grandparents loving on our sweet babies.. we are incredibly lucky!
Transition A Simple Tee + Jean Look To Fall
Anyways, like I said above, I am SO happy to be back to work this week and I have some fun content I am excited to share.. starting with this look! While I was in Utah, I got a little taste of some gorgeous cooler weather. I was soo jealous wishing I could bring some cooler weather back home with me so I could start dressing for fall! When transitioning to fall clothes, I like to keep it simple. While Texas hasn’t quite gotten the memo that it’s time to start cooooling down (it’s SO hot), I know there are other places where you’re able to start adding a simple cardigan (love this one…need one in every color!) or even a light bomber jacket (love this one…velvet is huge this fall) to your outfit!
To “fall” my look up for my local Texas weather, I simply added these darling booties (they come in a few different finishes & I loooove the fun metal detail at the tip) from Nordstrom to my jeans + tee look. These booties can also be worn with a fun little dress with a cardigan or jean jacket (love this one) over top and/or add a tight (like this one) and you’re ready for fall! I chose to add a hat (this one is my favorite and I ordered it in a few colors) & a fun fall lip color & although I wasn’t ready to go grab a hot apple cider or hot chocolate (haha), I am welcoming and praying for fall to hit Houston soon!
I love that Nordstrom always has the best of the best selection of on trend shoes, accessories, jeans… (you get the picture 😉 ) to choose from!
When shopping, I like to look for items that are easy to pair with a lot of different looks + seasons and that I know I will get my use out of. These jeans, hat, and booties will definitely be items you will see me wearing all season long…even when fall really isn’t fall 😉 XOXO

Girl, ive lived in the south my while live and have no clue how you are even wearing thise booties and hat right now! Ha. Im sweating just looking at it. Its crazy to me its starting to get cooler other places because august dOwn here is our hottest month. And september is not mUch bEtter!
