The holiday season is upon and that means so many yummy shareable recipes. My mom is an amazing cook and she always makes enough to feed the whole block and this salad is no exception. It’s light and tangy, the perfect addition to warm, filling comfort food as the temperatures cool down.

My Mom’s Pear Salad Recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup oil
- 3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- pepper
- 2 heads of butter lettuce, torn into pieces
- 2 pears, cored and chopped
- 1/2 cup toasted walnuts
- 1/2 cup crumbled bleu cheese
HOW TO MAKE
- Combine oil, vinegar, sugar, celery seed, salt, and a dash of pepper in a jar with a very tight lid. Shake well until sugar is dissolved and the dressing is blended. Set aside in the refrigerator.
- Combine all salad ingredients and pour dressing over top when ready to serve. Toss to coat.
