Let’s Talk Hair
My Go-To Hair products
Long or short, ya’ll are always asking me about hair details! So I thought we would start here and share my top hair products I use. I keep my hair routine simple, but effective. Also, I want to keep my hair healthy and strong, so I really use products that do just that. I did the chop almost 9 months ago and have seriously loved it. It’s sassy and fun and easy to manage. I have always loved changing up the length of my hair so I’m sure I’ll grow it out again one day, but for now I love it!
Oribe Shampoo & Conditioner
In the winter my hair seems to need a little more love + hydration, so my hairstylist recommended this combo for me. I love the smell + it always leaves my hair feeling clean and hydrated. It is pricier, but a little goes a long way. You really don’t need much at all! I wash my hair about twice a week and love that this has helped keep my hair healthy and hydrated (*without feeling heavy, which is key!)
Deep Conditioners
I am verrrrry picky about my deep conditioners. As a (not-so-natural) blonde, I’ve been on a mission to find the perfect hair mask for literally years. I love having bright + blonde hair, but it can definitely take a toll on hair health. I am obsessive when it comes to skincare or hair care & have tried so many different products, but have found two truly amazing hair masks/deep conditioners. This one by Briogeo is fabulous! It is the:
BRIOGEO Don’t Despair, Repair!™ Deep Conditioning Mask
What hair type is it good for?
- Straight
- Wavy
- Curly
- Coiled
- Tightly Coiled
What exactly is it?
An intensive weekly treatment to restore essential hydration and enhance hair’s resilience and strength.
Key benefits:
– Restores moisture
– Creates vibrancy
– Prevents future damage
Another amazing option is this:
OLAPLEXOlaplex Hair Perfector No. 3
What hair type is it good for?
- Straight
- Wavy
- Curly
- Coiled
- Tightly Coiled
What exactly is it?
It repairs and strengthens all hair types. It is seriously like a magical hair treatment! I use it once a week (I kinda alternate with the Briogeo one!) I will usually throw this in my hair from root to scalp and put it in a bun. It says to apply in damp hair, but I just throw it in on my dry hair and let it sit for about an hour and then I will shampoo and condition as normal. My hair feels soooo silky smooth after and I swear it’s helped my hair a ton!
Key benefits:
It’s a clean product that
– Repairs damaged and compromised hair
– Strengthens and protects hair structure
– Restores healthy appearance and textureummmm.. YES, please!
Heat Protectant
A good heat protectant is a major key to healthy hair! With any heat I put on my hair, I always (always, always, always) apply a heat protectant. There are tons of good drug store options, but this has been a tried and true fav of mine.
Texture Spray
I am not a huge hair spray lover, but I DO always use a good texture spray. This one and this one are my current favs. It gives tons of volume and I love the messy waves it helps me achieve after I curl my hair!
My Favorite Hair Tools
This is my favorite curling iron. I use the one inch!
Here is the 3 barrel I use- I have had it since 2016 and it’s still going strong!!
I only blow dry my hair when I wear it straight really, otherwise I try to avoid heat and let it air dry. I have had this blow dryer for a few years and really like it for a quick smooth dry ( nd I feel like it’s not super hot or damaging).
This blow dry brush is my newest addition, but I do really love it for a sleek, smooth blow out! It works great and is seriously such a great price point. Totally recommend!
