About The Look
I love this fall look I picked up from Nordstrom. Ya’ll know I am alll about keeping things simple and sticking to your basics, but I think adding this vest is so fun! It is so soft and cozy. I layered it over my favorite layering tee- I bought it last year and it is still my favorite. I recently ordered the nude color because it really is the best to layer under vests, jackets, coats, cardigans, etc. I also can not get enough of these boots. Nordstrom always has the best picks when it comes to shoes and I fell in love with these when I saw them. They are so unique and make a statement.
5 Tips To Change Your Mood
Do you ever feel yourself in that “bleh” mood? I know sometimes I do. & it’s totally normal! It’s not a bad mood really and I don’t feel sad, but sometimes just a little funk. (I hate that feeling though!!) I find that when I keep busy, I don’t really fall into that. Being pregnant and sick the last few months, I found myself in that mood a little more often than I would have liked since I was unable to completely follow my “normal routine”… I didn’t quite feel like myself. SO here are some things I did to lighten my mood, get inspired, and get back to feeling like ME!

Exercise:
I have gotten the question “how do you get motivated to work out while pregnant?” numerous of times and my response is always the same. I have loved working out and fitness from an early age. I have loved running + being active since middle school! I was also a college cheerleader and have just always stayed active. I honestly feel weird when I don’t work out. My husband is the same, so really it’s just a lifestyle at this point. I also LOVE how I feel after a workout. I think it’s impossible for me to feel anything but good after a workout. Taking care of my body + getting a good sweat on definitely changes my mood!

Talk About It
This is something my husband has taught me. He is actually the talker of the family (if you know him, then you know this is true lol) and is so good about sharing feelings + listening. Find someone you love and makes you feel loved to talk to. I know I can tell him how I am feeling (even during those crazy pregnancy hormone days) and he will just be a good listener + help me reflect on why I am feeling that way. Sometimes it’s just nice to have someone to talk or vent to, ya know?

Turn Up The Music
I find that music can totally change my mood. I love creating different playlists and have a few that are my go-to for those feel good tunes. My kids also love music and we have a good time in the morning eating breakfast while listening to some of their favorite happy songs. What is your favorite “happy” song?! I would love to add it to my list.

Spend Quality Time With Your Children/Family
One thing my friends and family know about me is that I truly love and cherish family time. I feel like my best, most happy self on the days where it’s just me and the kids with no other distractions. They are only this small for such a small amount of time and I just want to bottle it up & ENJOY it. Removing other distractions and focusing on spending good, quality time with my children brightens my day in the best way.

Do Something YOU love
I am allll about self care or taking a little time to myself to do something I love. Focusing on the “little joys” in life can change our mood & bring us joy! It can be as small as grabbing your favorite Starbucks drink or heading to bed early to read a book instead of watching tv at night. I think we tend to get caught up in the hustle of our everyday lives + we forget about taking care of ourselves or to do things we love.
What are your favorite tips to change your mood?? Let me know in the comments or on my recent Instagram post!
XOXO
