Last Wednesday was Truman’s first birthday & the whole day was perfect! First things first… How do I have a ONE year old?! It’s so crazy to me. It was an emotional, yet amazing day celebrating my greatest blessing. It was a good time to look back and reflect on the millions of amazing moments and memories we made with him over the past year! Our lives have definitely been changed for the better and I can’t wait to keep watching him learn and grow! Our sweet big boy–We love him SO much.
We wanted to fill the day with all the things that Truman LOVES! He woke up and we brought him into the living room which was FILLED with toys… Not even exaggerating one bit! Haha! That boy is one spoiled baby. It was hilarious to watch him look at his new toys. He screamed and clapped and was just SO excited. You could tell he felt extra special, especially with all of my family in town for the big day who gave him an overload of attention.
He had his favorite for breakfast- a donut (just like his mama) while we sang happy birthday to him! He loves donuts, but hates making himself messy. He carefully ate his donut 😂 making sure to not get it all over himself.
After that, we got him ready and headed to downtown Houston for some exploring. We stopped at some museums, walked around, & played at a park! He had a blast roaming around & cheesing at everyone we met.
Next, we went to a late lunch at Truman’s favorite… Chic Filet & got him his first little kid’s meal! He felt like such a big boy feeding himself and drinking out of a juice box while we all watched and laughed at his silliness… It was hilarious! He was loving all of the fun attention he was surrounded by!
After lunch, we headed to the pool! Truman is a water baby and is obsessed with swimming. As soon as he sees a pool, he tries to wiggle his way out of my arms and make a run for the water! He had such a good time swimming with his daddy, my sisters, & I. He could’ve stayed there for hours!
After a long and fun day of adventures and celebrating it was time to call it a day. He had the best day and it made my heart so full to see him so excited and happy! He is the best little baby and so full of personality, energy, and charm. I’m so thankful he is mine! His first birthday was a perfect one and will forever be remembered by so many family members who love and treasure him just as Sid and I do. Truman Jon Thompson, you are ONE loved little boy!!!
