Hi there, lovelies! With the start of the new year, I wanted to get back on a routine for working out + working towards a stronger & healthier me. I restarted the BBG guide! I really wanted to find something that I could easily work into my schedule + that was convenient. You can really do the workouts anywhere + at any time, which I love. I ordered a black yoga mat and some hand weights at Walmart, so that I can workout at home.
Walmart has such a great selection for workout equipment (think weights, jump ropes, mats, etc.. they have it all!) I will usually try and wake up and get my workout done before the kids wake up. I feel a little more energized once the kids get up + I really feel like it sets the tone for the day. Some days I will even take my mat and small hand weights to the park in my neighborhood to workout (the weather has been so nice in Vegas!) I love getting in a good sweat daily. So I’m really hoping to keep up on my workouts this year (I’ve always been good, but have struggled with keeping to a routine the last few months after moving).
I always get asked about my diet, and honestly it’s hard for me to share because it changes daily. I try to eat mostly healthy & eat frequently throughout the day, but it’s constantly changing. One thing that is constant though is my protein shake in the morning. Last year, I was always grabbing these shakes from Walmart. They have a few different flavors and they are all delicious. I love that you can grab them to go or even blend up for a yummy shake. I recently ordered this organic plant based protein powder from Walmart (did you know that Walmart is the largest organic grocer in the country?!) and LOVE it. It really has the best texture. I either mix it with water or almond milk or I make this shake:
1 scoop of Orgain Organic Plant Based Protein Powder (I also love the vanilla with this combo!)
1/2 of a frozen banana (I buy mine at the beginning of the week and cut and freeze them to use throughout the week)
I like mine really icey, so I add a handful of ice as well!

I love getting in a quick workout and then making my shake before the kids are up. Sometimes I get to finish my shake before the kids are up, but I am usually sipping on it through breakfast and my morning routine with the kids. I am very much so someone who does better on a schedule. It helps me to get the things done that are important to me. I love the time I have to myself in the morning to do something to better myself, so that I can be a healthier, happier, and more energized mama.
