If you’re a parent, you know that date nights don’t always happen every weekend. As much as I’d love to get dressed up in my new Jimmy Choos (if you saw on snapchat, I just couldn’t resist them at Nordstrom last week!!) + this hot (maternity 😉 dress for a night on the town with my man every Friday night, most weekends are filled with family fun nights (which we love just as much)! I know Truman looks forward to having daddy home just as much as I do for the weekend, so we always take full advantage and plan something fun to go do as a family!
On these nights out, I usually keep it simple and don’t get fancy and prefer a nice bootie high enough for some added height, but low enough to chase a CRAZY toddler around. For the hubs, he usually sticks to something casual, yet still nice. For his job he typically dresses in business casual every day, a little too “nice” for our typical family outings, so I loved picking up a few new items from Nordstrom for him to wear on the weekends! He loves to be comfy and casual when he’s not in work attire, but I don’t always love sweats for a dinner date (although I’m sure he would LOVE that, haha!) This look that I chose for him is classic and still age appropriate. I always know I can count on Nordstrom for their high quality, on-trend denim for myself, and that goes for my man, as well! I love these jeans on Sid! These straight leg jeans give a “nicer” casual look. Of course the quality is uber amazing and the fit is literally perfect. I LOVE a layered look on guys for the fall, so that’s why when I saw these long sleeve tees, I bought them in 2 colors for Sid to mix and match. They look so good alone, layered with a flannel like Sid is wearing, or even with a jacket on top! As a girl (and a blogger), I am always looking for new looks to create and try for myself, but lately I’ve had so much fun styling and spoiling my man. As much as they may act like they don’t care, every guy loves to feel good and put together. I think it’s so important to always remember those special, hard working men in our lives and make them feel special, too! When dressing your men, keep it simple & basic. Find good, quality pieces like the ones I’ve talked about from Nordstrom that will last and can be used in different looks without having to put too much thought into it. Because let’s face it, ladies…they don’t always let us dress them and you gotta make sure they look just as good as we do, right? Happy Friday friends~ we are off to another night of family fun and I wouldn’t trade it for the world!
