“Sugar, spice & everything nice~ that’s what Baby Thompson is made of!” Last Saturday I was spoiled with the MOST AMAZING baby “sprinkle” for baby Thompson and I! One of my best friends, Ailee threw it for me and she seriously went above and beyond anything I had ever dreamed of. Ailee and I met a little over a year ago and quickly became super close. We are alike in so many ways, yet so different, & I LOVE that. I love learning things from her and sharing our thoughts and beliefs with one another. We could talk for days and never get bored… hence our on going 7 page daily texts, haha! & the best part? We have bestie toddlers the same age (just about a month apart) and are now expecting babies just 12 days apart. That timing is just too good, am I right?! I am so grateful for her friendship & example. She is one of the most thoughtful, kind, creative, fun, and beautiful girls ever and I am extremely grateful to have her as one of my best + life long friends! Since my birthday was the previous week, Ailee thought it would be fun to make it one big celebration. I loooved the “sprinkle” theme and still can not get over all of the amazing details (like, you guys, the invites had legit sprinkles in them! CUTEST!)
The sprinkle was held at one of my favorite spots in Houston, Sweet Paris. It was the perfect setting to celebrate my little sweetie on the way 🙂 I am so happy and thankful my sweet mama was able to fly in and be there to celebrate, as well! We started the morning off with a Starbucks date + getting our hair & make-up done by the talented ladies at Sun Kissed & Made Up and then headed straight to the shower. When I arrived to the shower I was seriously in awe and wanted to cry! I couldn’t believe how AMAZING everything looked. I spent a good 10 minutes just staring at all of the pretty little details. The sprinkle was an absolute blast and I left with a sore jaw from smiling the whole time! We ate crepes, guessed baby Thompson’s arrival date, opened gifts, took fun photos in front of the confetti photo booth, ate the yummiest cake, & decorated the cutest cupcakes with an assortment of sprinkles! We of course had an amazing time chatting + catching up with so many amazing friends who I am SO thankful to be surrounded by and have met here in Houston!
I can not believe baby girl will be here in just 9 weeks (or less if she’s anything like her brother 😉 ) I can’t wait to hold her and snuggle her! And can we talk about how weird it will be to say I have CHILDREN?! Two of them! AHHHH We are all so excited and I know she will make the perfect addition to our little family. We already love her SO much!!
