Pregnancy can be tough on the body in so many ways! I don’t know about my fellow pregnant mamas, but I’ve felt that the second time around I have experienced the aches and pains much sooner. From chasing around a crazy toddler, to being a working mom, & growing a human, I am EXHAUSTED most days. I’ve always loved working out and absolutely love how it makes me feel. It can seriously change my whole mood and makes me feel SO much better in a million different ways!  I’ve made it a priority this pregnancy to really try my very best to stay active…Whether it’s taking my gym classes, doing my at home work outs, or taking walks. My husband has had a crazy busy schedule lately and has had to travel for work recently (lucky guy got to go to Paris last week!), so I’ve depended on my NordicTrack treadmill to get a good workout in at home. I love that I have such easy access to a workout in my own home. It’s seriously a game changer for pregnancy! I try to walk a few miles every day changing up the incline for the best, low impact, but highly effective workout. Being able to workout in the comfort of my own home without having to tote a toddler to the gym each day has made a huge difference in my life! I look forward to my workouts every day and love trying out the workouts of the day that my NordicTrack treadmill has planned for me. As I’ve mentioned in my previous blog posts, this incline trainer makes it super convenient for me to walk and run! It’s extremely easy on my body and helps me avoid extra aches and pains I sometimes feel from running outside. OH, and I LOVE that I can watch my favorite YouTube channels or surf the web while I’m working out, as well. It makes it go by much, much faster and I sometimes stay on a little longer while I finish my web surfing! 😉 What are some of your favorite workouts during pregnancy? I would absolutely love for you to share! I’ve found that keeping it simple, staying active, and changing up my workouts has kept me motivated and excited to workout! I’ve gotten a lot of questions about my workout routine during pregnancy and it has pretty much stayed the same, I just modify workouts to make them pregnancy safe. I think the main thing that has helped me stay fit during pregnancy thus far is just simply staying active!

Since I am currently 22 weeks, I wanted to share a fun little update about my pregnancy as of late!

How Far Along:  22 weeks!

Weight Gain/Loss:  +7lbs

Sleep:  I am sooo exhausted by the time I get in bed that I immediately fall asleep & have been getting some great sleep! Hallelujah!

Best Moment This Week:  Having my hubby feel the baby move! The look on his face….PRICELESS!

Movement: Lots of kicks from my girl already! Especially at night! It makes me super excited to meet her!

Food Cravings/Aversions: No aversions. Sandwiches + lemonade!! YUM.

What I Miss: Sleeping on my stomach.

Stretch Marks:  Nope. I never got any with Tru, either. (I swear by this for the boobs and this for the tums!)

Belly Button:  Still an innie, but def doesn’t look normal ha!

Wedding Rings:  Still fits:)

Mood: HAPPY! Being around family and thinking about my sweet girl joining our family has made me soo thankful and happy.

Upcoming Appointments/Events: Next appointment is in a couple of weeks. I always love going to check on her and hearing her heartbeat!

What I look forward to: The holidays! I feel like having Halloween, Thanksgiving, my birthday, and Christmas coming up will help me feel like this pregnancy is flying by 😉

Workout Routine: I am still going to Orangetheory 3-4 times week! I love the environment there and my trainers. They always help me modify workouts and I love how competitive and motivated the classes keep me. I also walk on incline on my NordicTrack Incline Trainer a few miles, at least a few times a week. I will sometimes throw in my own weights and exercises or even a workout dvd. Basically I just try and do some type of workout almost every day to keep my body moving + baby healthy!

*Thanks to NordicTrack For sponsoring this post!
